About The Trek

Kedartal Trek is one of the most challenging and rewarding high-altitude treks in the Indian Himalayas. This demanding trail takes you to the pristine glacial Kedartal Lake (4,750m), nestled at the foot of the mighty Thalay Sagar peak (6,904m), one of the most beautiful mountains in the Himalayas. The emerald-green lake, believed to be the source of the sacred Kedar Ganga, holds immense religious significance and is often called "Shiva's Lake." The trek is particularly challenging due to its steep ascents, rocky terrain, high altitude, and exposure to harsh mountain weather. This trek is recommended only for experienced trekkers with good fitness and prior high-altitude experience. The reward, however, is unparalleled - crystal clear glacial waters reflecting the towering peaks of Thalay Sagar, Bhrigupanth, Jogin, and Manda peaks. The raw, rugged beauty of this trek leaves an indelible mark on every adventurer who completes it.
